Bicycle manufacturer Firefox has announced the launch of its latest e-cycle, the ‘The Firefox Urban Eco’, in the Indian market. The Urban Eco is priced at Rs 74,999 and will be available only in Gray color.
India’s First App-Based E-Bike
The Firefox Urban Eco is described as India’s first app-based electric bicycle as well as a “future-ready smart bike” by the business. Criteria for urban ergonomics and geometry, as well as those pertinent to European design and utility, have been incorporated into the design and functionality of the bicycle. It was created using German technology and carries CE, REACH, and RoHS certifications, among others. Flat handlebars with ergonomic grips, hydraulic disc brakes, and a single power button are among the features included as standard equipment on this model.
Fitt App Control
The Urban Eco can be controlled and tracked with the Firefox Fitt app. The app allows users to monitor their speed, distance covered, calories burned, and heart rate. The e-cycle also has the option of a 5-pedal assist mode, giving riders the option to choose between electric power or pedaling on their own.
Battery and Performance
The e-cycle is powered by a 10Ah battery and the company claims that in Pedelec mode, it has a mileage of up to 90 KM. It has a top speed of 25km/hr and takes about 5 hours to get fully charged. The battery is also removable, making it convenient for charging or swapping out.
Additional Features
In addition to its app control and tracking capabilities, the Urban Eco also comes equipped with a LED headlight and taillight for visibility while riding at night. It also has a kickstand and a bell, providing convenience and safety for the rider.
