BYD has revealed the BYD Sea Lion 07 electric SUV at the 2023 Guangzhou International Auto Show. In terms of design, it looks similar to the EV sedan and has sharp lines with many cuts and creases. It also gets flush door handles and Flagship cladding on the wheel arches. At the rear, it features slick roof-mounted spoilers and slick connecting LED taillamps.
BYD Sea Lion 07 is introduced
Auto Desk, New Delhi. The Chinese automaker BYD has finally revealed the BYD Sea Lion 07 electric SUV at the 2023 Guangzhou International Auto Show. The Sea Lion 07 is part of the company’s ‘Ocean’ series, which also includes the Dolphin hatchback and Seal electric sedan. The Sea Lion 07 will compete with the Tesla Model Y globally and is expected to go on sale sometime in 2024.
Design of BYD Sea Lion 07
In terms of design, it looks similar to the EV sedan and has sharp lines with many cuts and creases. It has angular headlamps with L-shaped extensions, which also have LED DRLs, vents, and large air intakes. Aerodynamically designed alloy wheels are found on the sides of the EV.
Dimensions
It also gets flush door handles and Flagship cladding on the wheel arches. At the rear, it features slick roof-mounted spoilers and slick connecting LED taillamps. It also gets a second lip spoiler, located on the side of the tailgate. This EV has a length of 4,830 mm, a width of 1,925 mm, and a height of 1,620 mm. The overall rear design looks exactly like ATTO 3.
Battery and range of BYD Sea Lion 07
The company has not revealed any mechanical details of the Sea Lion 07 EV. It is expected to be offered in two battery pack options – a smaller battery pack with an electric motor and a larger battery pack with twin motors and AWD. Prices are expected to start at $ 28,000 (about Rs 23.5 lakh at current exchange rates).
